Happy New Year!

Today is New Years Eve. I had an amazing 2016. I quit the best job I ever had in January 2016. I moved from Mountain View Cailfornia to Portland Oregon. All our stuff is in a basement waiting our return. I did 10 full months of traveling around the world. I saw some amazing places, met some fantastic people and had an incredible year. To see everything the world has to offer I would need another year or two. I will get to everywhere I want eventually. 2017 starts another adventure for me. A new place to learn about with Portland. A new career with new skills to learn and master. I will post pictures of my travels with notes about each place we visited. The world is an amazing place and has great people everywhere. I am keeping the girlfriend as she is still fun and is one of the amazing people it speak of. I hope your 2016 was great too and only you can decide how your 2017 will be. Make it great! With lousy Internet and a crashing MacBook I do not know when I will be able to post again

CozumelĀ

A computer crash has prevented me from posting for the last few weeks. I have a MacBook Pro that was 5 months old. My first one lasted a month during my travels and this one last 5 months. I am not happy with Apple to date, although I love my iPhone 6. I was finally able to get it to boot and I won't let it go off till I can lose it again.
So blog #1
We spent a week in Cozumel. We had 3 full on beach days and I had 1 snorkeling day off a boat. We were at a hotel near the water and there were lots of places to eat. The weather was perfect in the low 80s. We spent much of our time at or near the beach. It's Cozumel. It would be hard not to. The snorkeling was fair. The water was clear and great. We relaxed in lounge chairs and read. We swam, drank beer and margaritas and had some good lunches.
We are going back for 4 days to relax more.
There were cruise ships in port most days except Sunday (they reload). There at least 2 and usually 5. This is a tourist town. But it was fun. We rented a car a tooled around the island for a day. We hit Punta Sur and drove down to a very expensive beach. I would not recommend going there. It is not worth the money or time. I did see some grafitti in town that I will photograph when I return. We are going to rent a scooter and cruise town for a couple hours and then hit the beach.
I liked the relaxing part of Cozumel. I was not impressed with the snorkeling per se. The water was great, but I think the reefs are overused. I did not dive here.
Happy Travels,
Brad
